Directions from Los Angeles International airport:
BUS/SUBWAY - $8.50
* Follow signs for "FlyAway Bus, Long Distance Vans". Find the FlyAway Bus going to Union Station (not Westwood or Van Nuys).
* Upon arrival at Union Station you will pay $7.
* Follow the walkway into Union Station to the Metro Red Line just inside the entrance.
* Take the Metro Red Line ($1.50) toward North Hollywood, getting off at the Hollywood and Highland stop.
* After exiting the station, turn left onto Hollywood Blvd.
* Walk 5 blocks to Schrader Blvd. and turn right.
* The hostel will be half a block down on Schrader Blvd. on your left.
DOOR-TO-DOOR SHUTTLE - $15
* Follow signs for "Shared Ride Vans."
* Find the person in a blue SuperShuttle jacket or t-shirt and ask for a SuperShuttle to USA Hostels Hollywood (1624 Schrader Blvd.)
From Greyhound Hollywood:
First, be sure your bus is arriving at the HOLLYWOOD Greyhound station - not one of the other Los Angeles stations. Walk south on Cahuenga Blvd, cross to the south side of Hollywood Blvd. and turn right heading west on Hollywood Blvd. Turn left on Schrader Blvd. We are the third building on the left.
From Amtrak/ Union Station:
Take the red line subway towards North Hollywood to the Hollywood/Highland Station. Coming out of the station, turn left onto Hollywood Blvd. (you want to be walking west) then turn right onto Schrader Blvd.
Driving and Parking:
From Los Angeles International airport:
If you're picking up a rental car at the airport, take highway 105 East to highway 110 North to highway 101 North. Exit at Cahuenga Blvd. Turn left onto Cahuenga Blvd., cross Hollywood Blvd. and turn right onto Selma Ave. At Schrader Blvd. turn right again. We are the third building on the right at 1624 Schrader Blvd.
From San Diego:
Take highway 5 North to highway 101 North. Exit at Cahuenga Blvd. and turn left, cross Hollywood Blvd., turn right onto Selma Ave. At Schrader Blvd. turn right again, we are the third building on the right at 1624 Schrader Blvd.
From Las Vegas:
Take highway 15 South to highway 10 West to highway 101 North. Exit at Cahuenga Blvd. and follow above directions.
From San Francisco:
Take highway 5 South to highway 170 South to highway 101 South. Exit at Cahuenga Blvd., turn right onto Cahuenga and then follow above directions.
Parking your car:
There are parking lots near the hostel. Rates start at $8 depending on how long you park. There is also metered and free street parking near the hostel. Meters are free from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. and all day Sunday; BUT we do not recommend this because there are many restrictions and its easy to get a parking ticket. You can ask on arrival how to get to the pay lots. Our favorite in only 2 blocks away on Cherokee Blvd.
